Yes! It sure can. And not just temporary! It can buy you eternal happiness.

Imagine a starved person who has just got food. Imagine a disaster victim who has just got aid. Imagine a blind seeing a ray of light. Imagine an underprivileged following his dream. Imagine an old person getting a support. Imagine your parents getting a surprise. Experiencing happiness already?? What if I tell you that you were THE person who made this happen? Isn't that eternal happiness?

This is what money can do. Gives you happiness as you help out others with it! The graph beautifully explains my thoughts!

Some of the ways in which money can buy you happiness:

1. Adopt / Sponsor a child - Millions of children are homeless with no education, food, etc. Sponsor a child and see him develop into a gem who would make you proud one day.
One such organization is : Sponsor a Child | Child Sponsorship Program | World Vision

3. Help someone achieve his dream - There are many people out there, with big dreams. No, I am not talking about becoming a billionaire!! For them dreams include setting a small shop to give them daily meal. Dreams to build a permanent roof under which they can sleep. There are many websites for micro-financing. Two such is: Milaap, RangDe: Make a social investment today

4. Donate to charity/ NGOs - Not sure which NGO to donate to? Looking for a project in a particular area? There are websites that would help you here! One such is India NGOs, Nonprofit Organizations I Online Donation & Charity to 250+ NGOs

5. Help an old / disabled person - No, you dont have to browse NGOs for this. Start with your local community! Arrange a nurse for an old person struggling to get out of bed. Buy a wheel chair so that a disabled person can go to work.

6. Help Environmental Organizations - One of the best things that you can do with your money is to help leave a place for your progeny to live comfortably.

7. Send a bouquet to your parents - It worked for your girlfriend or spouse, right? Try for parents. And capture the smiles on their faces in your memories to cherish forever :)
